Floating Weightless by AmandaKieferArt Floating Weightless by AmandaKieferArt
Practice for lighting/composition/bringing a story into an illustration. I thought painting a scene with no gravity would be fun :)

My character's name is Eryn, she escaped from her space station home before everyone on it was captured as slaves by another race, watching the station get destroyed by them, they are using the android she fell in love with as a weapon to destroy it. He gave her the necklace she is holding. blah blah

This looks quite impressive, but the scene, as you described it, doesn't seem realistic, more like one of those Hollywood/transformers crap. Somehow, I would believe you more if she was shocked and afraid, rather than sad. Still, nice work.

I love the tears!! At first I thought they were bubbles... but then the weightlessness of the image sunk in and it totally put things in context. EXCELLENT job!!!!

<3 thank you!! I always see floating bubbles/water in images but I thought it would be neat to give floating water/bubbles context, glad you like!

You nailed the facial expressions with this, Good Job.

Words can change but Tears will always be understood.

I really like the facial expressions here as well as the color scheme you've used. Little suggestion from me? add some more detail to the glass(reflections, dust.etc) to add definition. Since character is interacting with it, i think it is necessary to add more detail here to define space and depth. just a thought. either way, I really like it. Good job! :+fav:
